"Greenbuilder.com, The Last Straw Journal, The Straw Bale Association of Texas, and the Development Center for Appropriate Technology, along with a number of regional strawbale organizations, are working together to build a database of buildings constructed using straw bale.
Note: There are certainly far more straw bale buildings in existence than are available on this site. The numbers here reflect only those that have been voluntarily listed by their owners or builders. Actual numbers will vary by location, but we feel that a very rough estimate of the existence of 10 times as many bale buildings is certainly within reason, and probably a conservative guess."
